The Roommate is a horror / thriller film, directed by Christian E. Christiansen, starring Minka Kelly, Danneel Harris, Leighton Meester, Cam Gigandet and Alyson Michalka.
The plot is about a college freshman, Sara, (Minka Kelly) who is randomly assigned to a dorm with a stranger named Rebecca (Leighton Meester). They start off as friends, but things turn deadly as Rebecca begins to target people in Sara’s life.
The Roomate release date is planned for February 4, 2011.

No Doubt Reunites For Gossip Girl
Word on the street is that No Doubt will reunite for the May 11 episode of Gossip Girl. No Doubt will play the fictional band, Snowed Out, and perform new wave band Adam and the Ants classic, Stand and Deliver. Check out the Adam and the Ants video gold below.

I wonder if Adam and the Ants plays with your average Gossip Girl fan? They were a late 1970s and early 1980 band that bridged punk and new wave. Seems like an interesting choice. They had some hits, but as far as I know, they were much bigger in UK then the US. Adam Ant is also known as playing the bass in the band Bazooka Joe that headlined the first show the Sex Pistols played. Overall my guess is that if you have Gwen Stefani shaking her ass to anything that’s not sucking, it will play. Maybe it will sell some Adam and the Ants cds to a younger generation, and that would be a good thing.

Gossip Girl hottie Leighton Meester is set to star in the remake of Single White Female, titled The Roommate. Will this be a case of a Gossip Girl doing good on the big screen? I think Leighton Meester could be a future movie actress but do we really need a remake of Single White Female? Single White Female came out in 1992 so it’s not all that old. Hopfully it will all work out for her.
Speaking of Single White Female, what happened to Bridget Fonda? IMDB says she hasn’t been in anything since 1992.
